Thorne Advanced Digestive Enzymes (formerly Bio-Gest) is a comprehensive digestive enzyme blend providing betaine hydrochloride (480 mg per 2 capsules), L-glutamic acid hydrochloride (480 mg), pancreatin from porcine source (140 mg, providing amylase 15,750 USP, protease 14,000 USP, and lipase 2,450 USP), ox bile concentrate (80 mg), and pepsin from porcine source (70 mg). The product is formulated for use with meals to support digestive enzyme activity in individuals who may produce less than optimal amounts, for example during the natural ageing process or after gallbladder removal.
